A black-and-white DIY concert poster filled with hand-drawn artwork and stylized lettering. The design mixes tattoo-style shading, graffiti-inspired fonts, and surreal imagery, giving it a gritty, underground punk look. In the center of the poster, a large illustration of a classical balance scale stretches upward, surrounded by smoke-like linework. Below it, a woman’s face with a sorrowful expression is framed by dark shading and flowers. The band names are scattered around the artwork in different fonts and sizes: “On the Cinder (Buffalo, NY)” appears in bold, rounded black letters near the bottom left. “Addaemon (Sacramento, CA)” sits near the top right, written in sharp, angular script next to the scales. “Tobacco Justice” curves across the lower right area, with the words “EP Release” and “Dissemia” below in jagged, handwritten text. At the bottom left, “Singing Lungs” loops in thick graffiti-style writing. Event details are typed neatly in small black serif text near the bottom: “Friday, November 14th, 2025 — The DAAC, 1553 Plainfield Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI. Doors at 7 PM. $10 PWYC. Always all ages. Wheelchair accessible.” In the bottom right corner, a small black circle with a bomb graphic reads “Freak It! Presents.” The overall tone feels raw and expressive — a mix of sketchbook art and hardcore flyer energy, balancing chaos and careful linework in a fully monochrome palette.

*Accessibility

The DAAC strives to be an inclusive and accessible space for all. We have built our space with inclusion in mind. During the building renovation process, we followed ADA guidelines. Some accessible features of the space include:

  1. A ramp entrance to the building. It is made with concrete at the appropriate incline and has hand rails. The doors do not open automatically.
  2. Two gender-neutral bathrooms. These have wide doors, lever handles, handrail, and plenty of space inside.
  3. Venue seating. Benches are located against the side walls of the event space. A large stack of sturdy folding chairs with backs are available in the space at all times.
  4. Curb cuts. The closest curb cut to our accessible ramp, unfortunately, contains gravel. Paved curb cuts are located at the intersection of Saunders Ct. and Plainfield Ave. on the North and West corners (near the entrance of Gaia Café).
