Hello Potential Grantee,
We are accepting proposals for small-scale creative projects to be funded by the monthly Sunday Soup mini-grant.

Sunday Soup is a mini-grant funding model initiated by InCUBATE in Chicago. On the last Sunday of the month, Grand Rapidians will gather to eat soup and vote on proposals. $5 buys you a bowl of soup and a vote, the entire proceeds of the meal will go to fund the proposal with the most votes.

Our first grant, totaling $200, went to Rhododendron Crafts (http://rhododendroncrafts.wordpress.com/), a group of Grand Rapids-based Bhutanese refugee crafters who are using the money to build looms for weaving and for marketing. Our second grant, to Dinderbeck Studios, put $220 towards outfitting a new gallery space in a warehouse in Grand Rapids' near westside. Our most recent mini-grant was to the GVSU Ghana Nsu Water Project, to buy a tripod for the production of a documentary in Ghana (http://www.gvsunsuproject.org/).

Any person looking to fund a creative project is welcome to apply for the next round of granting. To be eligible, you must apply via the form linked below by Friday June, 25th at 5:00pm.

All grantees will be asked to report back to the Sunday Soup community at a future meal within two months.
