Mindful Movement begins with grounding, gentle, embodied awareness, movement, and breath and gradually builds to a crescendo of freeform movement and dance. It seeks to unravel imposter syndrome, perfectionism, performativity, toxic productivity, fear of failure, fear of being seen, and the idea that we need to be under the influence to allow ourselves to move freely and show up in our authentic essence.
The goal of this offering is to introduce the deeply transformative power of conscious dance to people in a way that feels safe and gradual, that helps them to lean into their needs, connect with their body, increase their capacity for joy and compassion, and build community.
Whitney Dawn Pyles is the founder of Whitney Dawn Movement & Coaching, co-founder of Wellness Retreat MI, and creator of the Mindful Movement Workshop. She is a certified Somatic Life Coach, Human Design Guide, and tenured dance instructor. She uses dance. somatic movement and body-oriented coaching to empower people to expand into their purpose, show up authentically, and create space for joy and play in their lives.
