Absolutely! Here's a casual and friendly accessible description of this flier for someone who is blind or has low vision: Hey! There’s a heavy music show coming up at The DAAC on Thursday, June 27th, and it’s a benefit for the GR Trans Foundation, so it’s all for a good cause. The show is being put on by Hardcase Booking. The bands playing are pretty intense — the bands are Goddokira, along with Still Burning, Splitjaw, Bombxd (bombed), and Solastalgia. Expect a night full of hardcore, metal, and heavy energy. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the music starts at 7. Tickets are $15 at the door. It’s an all-ages show, and like all DAAC events, it’s a sober space — no drugs or alcohol allowed. The venue is also wheelchair accessible. The flier has a chaotic black and purple background with wild, sharp metal band logos in white, giving it that classic heavy show vibe. It definitely screams loud and energetic. If you're into heavy music and supporting the local trans community, this is the perfect night to show up and have a good time.

Doors at 7 pm, $15

Here are some things to note when attending a DAAC show:

-All shows are all-ages, substance free and jerk free.

-Our capacity is limited to 96 total people so available ticket amounts will vary based on the number of performers and volunteers for the event.

-If there are remaining tickets available, admission can be purchased at the door day of show using cash/cash app

To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please email info@thedaac.org. We have a ramp entrance at the back of the building, seating if requested, accessible gender-neutral bathrooms, free water and cups for use, and free ear plugs. We are always ready to listen to our attendees on how we can do better and what we could provide.

*Accessibility

The DAAC strives to be an inclusive and accessible space for all. We have built our space with inclusion in mind. During the building renovation process, we followed ADA guidelines. Some accessible features of the space include:

  • A ramp entrance to the building. It is made with concrete at the appropriate incline and has hand rails. The doors do not open automatically.
  • Two gender-neutral bathrooms. These have wide doors, lever handles, handrail, and plenty of space inside.
  • Venue seating. Benches are located against the side walls of the event space. A large stack of sturdy folding chairs with backs are available in the space at all times.
  • Curb cuts. The closest curb cut to our accessible ramp, unfortunately, contains gravel. Paved curb cuts are located at the intersection of Saunders Ct. and Plainfield Ave. on the North and West corners (near the entrance of Gaia Café).
