Sailor Kicks:

So Many Humans:

Ben Miller Multiphonic Guitarscape:

Miller’s deconstructed Gibson Kalamazoo is equipped with 4 pickups routed in Stereo panned hard Left/Right. Screws, springs, silverware, binder clips, and other found objects are used to provoke texture and shape rather than chords and melody. Strings are tuned randomly below standard pitch. Miller adds a score of FX pedals, Casio SK1 8-bit sampling, transistor radio, OGM tape loops, and the extreme use of a Bixby tailpiece enhancing the instrument’s erratic microtonal sound. The mixed output is run through 2 guitar amps. Frequencies interact with each other and swap positions in the sonic field. Whether the sound is all-out spontaneous improvisation or carefully structured, Miller listens. Submerged attention and trusting the unknown is his modus operandi and it is with this unseen nature that he adheres to.
